Ray Walsh, former winemaker at King Estate, has developed a reputation for his mastery of white winemaking. This is his first Riesling with the Capitello label and is a dessert wine to be savored.

New Zealand winemaker Ray Walsh joined King Estate in 1993 to make their white wines, most famously, their Pinot gris. Walsh calls Pinot gris "a food wine" and describes the varietal as a wine that offers crisp and fruit-forward acidity. Leaving King Estate in 2005, Ray now runs his own winery, makes wine for Domaine Meriwether, and consults on a variety of distillation and wine making projects.
