Review:

2010 Wine Advocate - New to the Winderlea line-up and from the Eola-Amity Hills vineyard owned and intensely managed by David Beck, a 2010 Pinot Noir Crawford-Beck evokes blueberry and blackberry, damp humus, and bay laurel. Firm in feel and invigoratingly tart-edged, it finishes with rather austere but intriguing length, suggesting one revisit it in two or three years and anticipate at least the better part of a decade of table service. Considering that this was the latest-harvested of any Winderlea wine in the generally late 2010 vintage but like all of them was bottled last August 29th, it can hardly have enjoyed much more than nine months in barrel. - David Schildknecht
