Dark berry, cherry pie spices with a hint of black licorice on the nose. Black cherry flavors with lavender notes that is both lithe and assertive. There are flashes of spicy cedar that carry through both the aroma and the palate which probably come from the use of 100% new oak. Great freshness and acid balance from a hot vintage. Pair this with Grilled Beef Tenderloin and Potato/Wild Mushroom Hash. -- M.S.
