Tasting Notes 2005 Vintage
The first thing that hits you it the bright deep pink color of this wine. Almost cherry iridescent yet transparent. It only gets better from here. Strawberry aromas draw you in. This wine is bone dry. Crisp on the palate with a totally pleasant tart flavor that is almost rhubarb and lime peel make it a terrific food wine. You literally salivate when you drink this stuff. The pleasant long finish and a creamy mouth-feel come from being barrel fermented in 1 and 2 year old oak barrels. In past years, Adea Ros? has been made in such small quantities that it was only available to insiders. Fellow winemakers always snapped up the few cases that were made. This year Dean Fischer bled a little off the top of each bin of Pinot Noir, a method called saign?e and made enough to share with the world. -- M.S.
