2005 Vintage Tasting Notes

Delightfully intense toasted oak and meaty black fruit in the nose, with hints of spice, bacon fat, pepper, lilac, lavender, and white flowers. This is a sweet, juicy, huge black cherry, black raspberry, big toasty Pinot - a real crowd pleaser. There's nicely layered cherry fruit on the finish, and the toast and bacon fat notes return for a finah turn. 2004 Vintage Tasting Notes

Exciting new Estate grown Pinot noir, this wine's initial presentation shows intriguing toast and smoke in the nose, with hints of spice and black fruit. The flavors start with an initial hit of sweet blackberry fruit, mouth coating, silky tannins, and gushing, rich ripe black cherry, cranberry, and black currant. The finish is long- fine tannins and a balanced acidity show maturity and experience in the winemaking. True to Pinot noir, but taking everythiing that is fresh and fruity about the grape and twining it around a core of spice and oak. This is a winery to watch! -jy

Alloro, Italian for "laurel" is an artisan winery on the slopes of Laurel Ridge in Oregon's Willamette Valley. The small Estate vineyard is the source for the Pinot noir for this wine. Winemaker Don Kautzner shows experience and talent in this 2003 Pinot noir- recommended for drinking now, and for cellaring 3-5 years. Quite lovely. -jy
