Andrew Will Two Blondes Red 06
Andrew Will's two Blondes Vineyard Red 06 has an appealing aroma of fragrant wild berries, which signals the deliciousness to come. Harmonious, rich black raspberry, juicy cherry, and dark currant offer a mouthful of sweet fruit. Spicy herbs and leather accent the finish. The 06 Two Blondes is irresistable on day two, so plan to decant for an hour or cellar for 2-4 years. The 2006 Two Blondes Vineyard continues to offer better fruit and more complexity with each vintage.
Robert Parker 92+ Points -
"The 2006 Two Blondes Vineyard is sourced from a vineyard in Yakima Valley owned by Camarda. It is a blend of 43% Cabernet Franc, 29% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 28% Merlot. It offers up aromas of balsam wood, cinnamon, sage, incense, black cherry, and black currant. This is followed by supple, ripe wine with fine-grained tannins, savory flavors, and excellent balance. Dense and concentrated, it will continue to blossom with another 2-3 years of bottle age and offer a drinking window extending from 2011 to 2023."
The SF Chronicle's Jon Bonne on 2006 Andrew Will Two Blondes Vineyard Yakima Valley Red Wine: "The young vines in Chris Camarda's estate vineyard yield racy, aromatic wines. This new vintage, 43 percent Cabernet Franc plus Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, is no different. Distinct Franc presence on the nose: Tea, leather, ancho chile and flower-tinged berries play the high notes, subtle oak and cassis play the low. Bright, focused and spicy." - Jon Bonne
