Animale Reserve Pinot noir 06
winery: Animale
An Oregon Pinot noir made by a Washington winemaker from fruit sourced from a tiny vineyard in the Yamhill-Cartlon area. The two acres of Pinot grapes at Matt's friend's house produced a possitively dinky harvest- only a quarter of a ton per acre (2-3 tons is considered really low).
The grapes for the Animale Pinot noir have rich scents of black raspberry, violets and roses, reflected in the intense, rich, ripe black fruit flavors, This is a lush, full-bodied Pinot -- lots of spice, rich hints of creamy plum, berry, and creamy cherry linger on the long finish.
