Anne Amie Pinot noir 02
winery: Anne Amie
Appealing spice and black raspberry flavors, hints of black cherry, toast and cocoa in the finish, with a slightly hot flavor from alcohol. The tannins are very well integrated, but the acidity is a bit hidden, and I wonder about aging potential. As a nice food wine to drink now, this wine has a bit more than most in its price range. jy

MORE INFORMATION
From the winery: "The 2002 Willamette Valley Pinot Noir has a fruit-forward nose with aromas of wild berries, black cherry and strawberry. On the palate, a silky texture and rich flavors of black cherry and currant are nicely integrated with spicy oak leading to a soft, lingering finish. Drink now or cellar through 2010."
