Aramenta Cellars Pinot noir 05
From Ribbon Ridge Estate a very fruit forward and ripe pinot. From a family farm established by Colby Carter in 1865.
Previous vintage notes Medium garnet color, aromatic nose immediately upon opeining of red cherry fruit, cranberry, forest, and a hint of cinnamon. Flavors are of red cherry, red raspberry, hints of white pepper, roasted meat, and smoke on the finish. Finish is clean and fairly lengthy. Unusually complex for the price, this wine accompanies rissoto with wild mushrooms, veal scallopini, or chicken grilled with sweet hungarian paprika and a light cream sauce. Exceptional deal from an area (Ribbon Ridge) known for $40+ Pinots.
