Barking Frog Sangiovese

Barking Frog Sangiovese - Two Washington State vineyards provide the fruit for this light and bright Barking Frog Sangiovese. Fruit from Crawford Vineyards and Chandler Reach Vineyards was aged 10 months in neutral French oak. Aromas of bright red fruit and citrus flower mingle with strawberry, red pie cherry and raspberry essence. Flavors are predominantly red cherry and raspberry, and a hint of white pepper and spice. Bright acidity and soft tannins suggest a summer wine, well suited to pasta salads or grilled fish. Try this wine served cool, a bit below room temperature but not so cold as to obscure the delicate flavors.
