Review:
2010 Wine Advocate - The Benton-Lane 2010 Pinot Noir Estate – bottled already in August, 2011 – displays attractively sweet and juicy blueberry and cherry tinged with vanilla. Its relatively simple mid-palate sweetness however gives way to a rather hard, graceless finish. I imagine this will remain in good health for several years, and perhaps will even develop some textural tenderness and further complexity. David Schildknecht
2008 Vintage Tasting Notes
This brilliantly hued red wine has delicate aromas of strawberry and rose petal with more complex scents of autumn leaves and chocolate layered in . On the palate, it exhibits classic bright cherry flavors with hints of hibiscus, beetroot and red licorice. The wine is lithe and crisp with fine grained tannins that provide a nice framework to the silky mid-palate. - Wine Advocate
A very varietal Pinot in the classic Burgundian mode. Refined flavors include black pepper, allspice, blackberry and a hint of smoke. Medium weight suggests near term consumption, so don't hesitate to enjoy its considerable charm now. This mid-Willamette Valley winery regularly delivers top value. - Oregon Wine Press
2004 Vintage Tasting Notes
Wine Spectator 90 Points and BEST BUY:"Light and immensely appealing for its delicacy and suppleness, offering pretty raspberry and strawberry flavors that pick up hints of white pepper and fresh mushroom as the finish sails on." - H.S.
Aromas of cherry and mixed berries, with underlying hints of mocha, rose petal, cola and forest floor. The tannins are very fine, resulting in a rich, silky texture.
