Beresan Cabernet Sauvignon 05

The 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon is once again made from a blend of our Estate Waliser Vineyard and Yellow Jacket Vineyard. The vineyards are planted on old cobblestone river bed soils, providing the wine with unique and distinct earthy minerality qualities, but the wine is really defined by the big fruity backbone of cranberry and pomegranate flavors. This wine is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon. The wine was aged for 21 months in 35% new French oak and 65% neutral barrels. The wine will be bottled for 5 months prior to release.

Prior Vintage notes

60% Estate Vineyard fruit from Waliser Vineyard and Yellow Jacket Vineyard, and 40% Columbia Valley fruit from Champoux Vineyard, Candy Mountain Vineyard and Stone Tree Vineyard. The Cabernet Sauvignon has bright red fruit flavors, showing blackberry, cherry and pomegranate. The finish hints of caramelized maple syrup.

The wine is aged for 21 months in 40% new French oak barrels, 5% American oak barrels, and 55% neutral barrels.
