Review:

This is our first single vineyard Merlot! (Stone Tree Vineyard)  Ripe and juicy, this is a stunning expression of Washington State Merlot.  The nose expressed powdery anise and sweet plums over bright blueberries. In the mouth, layers of blackberry flow through a lovely mixture of dark chocolate and cherry- with just a hint of cigar box in the background.  The finish is long trip to your favorite coffee joint for a cherry mocha espresso.  Drinks well now, but holding a bottle until 2015 would be worthwhile. - the winery

Ripe plum, dark cherries and perfectly integrated oak spice. Lush, rich and even denser than last year’s version. Concentrated and quite thick in the mouth with substantial ripe fine grained tannin. Exquisitely balanced and giving with plenty of terroir and mineral complexity as well! - the winery
