From the winery: The 2011 Cumberland Reserve Pinot noir, which includes some of our best barrels from our five estate vineyards, has a bright and pure color which is deep ruby red throughout. It has a silky smooth palate feel with good grip and layered tannins which frame the bright red fruits and earth which echo in the mouth. In short, this wine captures the aromatic fruit, earth and spice trinity which Oregon Pinot Noirs can be so well known for. Drink 2013-2025.

2010 Wine Advocate - 90 points - Assembled from all of their five estate vineyards, Bergstrom’s 2010 Pinot Noir Cumberland Reserve, he emphasizes, “is not an ‘I do all of my single vineyards first and whatever’s left goes into a vat’ kind of wine. We’re actually trying to make two really different selections.” Fresh red raspberry and red currant tinged with rose hip and cardamom all entertain the nose, and a palate that displays palpably high extract but polished, silken, texture and levity as well. Mouthwateringly juicy and salt-tinged as well as glycerol-rich, revealing toasty nut oil and meaty pan scraping savor in its long finish, this is going to prove highly versatile and infectious over the next 8-10 years. - David Schildknecht

This is the tenth vintage of the Cumberland Reserve. It has aromas of dark chocolate, dark raspberry and black cherries mixed with floral notes of violets and vanilla spice. This wine is fruit diven and has a long, mouthwatering finish. Approachable now, this wine will age well for at least another ten years.
