Bethel Heights Pinot noir Flat Block Reserve 05: Wine Spectator 91 points: "Supple and graceful. Shows real presence, with creamy cherry and huckleberry flavors, finishing on a creamy note. Lingers artfully against refreshing acidity. Best from 2008 through 2013.-H.S.
I wrote two words at the end of my notes on this wine: "purity" and "finish." The Flat Block, which is 100% Pommard clone Pinot, features a lovely core of cherry and raspberry, with strawberry and dark cherry accents. The finish just sails...and sails.--Marcus
"Delicate aromatics: floral, strawberry, apricot, lots of stone fruit. Flavors of black cherry, blueberry, apricot skins, red fruits changing to stone fruit. Varietal, concentrated, good length and balance." - the winemaker
