Boedecker Cellars Pinot noir Stewart 06
Boedecker Cellars Pinot noir Stewart 06 -
"Silky, elegant and appealing for its juicy raspberry, spice and cream flavors, lingering enticingly on the shapely finish. Drink now through 2014. 500 cases made." - 90 Points - Wine Spectator
"This is pinot in an extracted style, leading with mocha and plum and given some contour by an earthy texture. Its forward fruit will appeal to those who like their pinots big, and would pair well with garlic-roasted chicken."
4/09 Pinot Noir: Year's Best - 90 Points Wine and Spirits

2005 Vintage tasting Notes The Stewart Pinot noir 2005 is Avalon's favorite of the Boedecker Cellars bottlings for two years in a row! Generous, juicy cherry and ripe raspberry flavors just keep on giving. The wine issucculent and sweet, yet balanced with vibrant acidity. Earth and brambles notes pick up on the finish, while the pure fruit persists. A blend of Anderson Family, Cherry Grove, Maresh, and Stoller Vineyards.

Wine Spectator says: "Lithe, with a crisp edge to the lovely plum and currant fruit,
shaded with savory, slightly meaty notes as the finish remains
vivid. Best from 2009 through 2015.—H.S.
Tanzer says: "($35) Medium red. Smoky cherry and plum aromas are complicated by tobacco and dark chocolate. Fresh dark berry and cherry compote flavors are firmed by juicy acidity and given bite by a light peppery quality. The firm finish leaves a long trail of dusty spices and cherry behind.
2004 Vintage Tastng Notes:
Red fruit flavors of pie cherry, red berry, and soft pie spices make this wine a crowdpleaser. Marcus's tasting notes say "Yumm!" and the raspberry core of this wine is complemented by hints of warm caramel, subtle truffle notes, and hints of barrel oak.
