Brandborg Winery Riesling 08
The aromas are honey, honeysuckle, lemon, lime blossom with hints of the Elkton diesel terroir already showing on the nose. The flavors mimic the aromas with the addition of white peaches with a hint of creme brulee. The mouth feel is fairly full, the acids are there to drive the fruit to high toned levels and the finish is moderately long with lingering green apple impressions.
This rendition is slightly dryer at 1.3%RS that our '03 riesling and did not pick up the botrytis of that vintage, more like the '02. This wine would be very satisfying with fish curries, Westphalia ham, saut?ed scallops with a white wine reduction or salad nicoise. 313 cases 13.2% Alcohol 1.3%RS
