Brick House Evelyn's Pinot noir 09
Brick House Evelyn's Pinot noir 09 -
Robert Parker's Wine Advocate 93 points
The most limited Brick House Pinot, only made in exceptional vintages - it will disappear very quickly. An intricate balancing act of more structure and elegance, with an ethereal aroma accented by dried flowers, orange essence, and allspice. Baskets full of summer red fruit unfold into layers of lusciousness. - Marcus
Brick House Evelyn's Pinot noir is an homage to winemaker and owner Doug Tunnell's mother Evelyn. It is a choice selection of grapes from the Brick House estate vineyard, a combination of Pommard and Dijon fruit.

2006 Vintage Tasting Notes
"One of the best wines Doug ever made" is how his Oregon distributor, Casa Bruno, describes the wine. We agree. The 2006 Evelyn's is a an elegant wine, with qualities reflecting what's going on in the vineyard, rather than what's done to the wine in the winery. Evelyn's is a wine with a sunny disposition- there's nothing brooding here, but elegant, fresh sweet fruit flavors prevail. As the wine opens, its clean, fresh quality shows even more, along with raspberries, cherries, subtle nutmeg spice, and the tiniest hint of an earthy quality. Tannins are totally integrated in this forward, fresh, elegant wine. Memorable.
