Bridgeview Black Beauty is the part of Bridgeview Winery known for its dark, rich red wines made from Southern Oregon Syrah, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon. Bridgeview makes great value, ready to drink, easy to like wines at a number of price levels. Bridgeview Vineyard and Winery was completed in 1986, and is family owned. The winery has a storage capacity of 200,000 gallons, and production capacity of some 80,000 cases, both of which are large by Oregon standards. Winemaker Rene Eichmann takes advantage of the rich fruit grown in Oregon's Southern valleys and makes lush, fruity wines that are easy to like. Bridgeview's vineyards were established in 1980, and consist of 75 acres planted in Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Gewurztraminer, and Riesling. The grapevines are densely planted in the European style, and careful pruning insures that each vine produces fewer grapes, with correspondingly greater varietal character.
