Review:
2010 Vintage Tasting Notes
Deep smells of roasted meat, toasted cedar, lavender flowers, and rich cherry fruit abound. Bright and almost "shiny" flavors of tart ripe cherries and set on a silky frame with intriguing accents of vanilla, forest floor herbiness and a touch of spice. - the winery
2009 Vintage Tasting Notes
2009 Tanzer - 92 points - Vivid ruby-red. Intensely perfumed bouquet of fresh red berries and potpourri, with a deeper mocha quality coming up with air. Very fresh and precise on the palate, offering sappy red and dark berry flavors that show a liqueur-like intensity but no excess fat. Finishes nervy and intense, with notes of sweet black raspberry and cherry. This energetic wine is approachable now with some air, but it has the balance to age. - Josh Raynolds
2009 Wine Spectator - 91 points - Supple, spicy and generous with its ripe cherry, nutmeg, hazelnut and floral flavors. Shows depth and deftness, finishing with a touch of red fruit. Drink now through 2019. - H.S.
