From the winery: "The harvest of 2001 was, without question, yet another in a string of phenomenal Washington State vintages. As Winemakers go, we in Washington State have been exceptionally blessed with uncommonly fine growing conditions the past four years. As anticipated, the Boushey vineyard produced a very sexy-luscious Syrah. The color is purple with dark red tones. The aromas and flavors are sweet spices, licorice, plum jam and black sweet cherries. The structure is quite fine. Though supple now, this wine possesses a good 7 - 10 years cellar potential."
