Cameron Chardonnay Dundee Hills 2010Review: HIGHLY RECOMMENDED BY AVALON I was going to save this for my next installment of The Oregon Chardonnay Crusader, but this puppy has started drinking so amazingly well that I couldn't wait. I've found this to be the best value Chardonnay from the Northwest. Every time I think about this wine, my mouth waters. One of our favorite meals is roasted chicken, butter leaf salad with a simple vinaigrette and a bottle of Cameron Chard. Say goodbye to oaksville and hello to bright, delicious Chardonnay. - Marcus Delish as usual, another hit out of the park from John Paul. Sumptuous is the best word to describe the scent - evocative of white flowers and minerals. A sip explodes with citrus, creamy lemon curd, white peach, and a hint of sweet thyme and rosemary. It expands in my mouth, silky and sleek. A $50 wine in an $18 bargain. - Jean 2009 Vintage Tasting Notes Undoubtedly one of the best Chardonnays made in Oregon. "Wow" was the least expressive comment at Avalon when John Paul poured it for us at the store. OMG and "whoa nellie" don't do it justice. It's made with fruit from Abbey Ridge Vineyard and Cameron's estate vineyard, Clos Electrique. Barrel-fermented Chardonnay emanating from old, distinguished vineyards in the Dundee Hills (Abbey Ridge and Clos Electrique). The wine was left on the yeast lies for a full year prior to bottling. Ripe apple and vanilla aromatics with a bit of herbs de Provence typify this wine. - John Paul
