Review:
The 2010 vintage at Cameron produced Pinot noirs exhibiting classic Burgundian characteristics, particularly high tone red fruit aromas, and velvety texture. With an alcohol of 12.3% and honest acidity, the 2010 Dundee Hills cuvee is a keeper. Extremely limited production. - John Paul Extremely limited. The size of the 2010 vintage of Cameron's Dundee Hills Pinot was down by 50%.
2009 Vintage
The 2009 vintage is forward and full, and Cameron's Dundee Hills Pinot fits right in. Masterful winemaker John Paul made a wine both rich and elegant. Creamy sweet red raspberry and red currant fruit is exquisitely balanced by fresh acidity and John Paul's trademark undercurrent of fresh turned earth and crushed minerals. Fresh thyme, Black Cap raspberries and creme brulee intensify the lengthy finish. A highlight of the vintage and a must-have if you love Pinot.
An amazing value from a guy who never advertises, never markets, and sells out to people who drive to the winery and load up the back of their cars.
Tasted at the Deep Roots Coalition event this week, a standout among the best group of Pinots I've experienced in a room together in a very long time.

2008 Vintage Tasting Notes
Cameron Pinot noir Dundee Hills 08 - His trademark black cherry, spicy/funky rich scent hits hard. A big Pinot, full of black cherry, plum, and raspberry. Fresh turned earth, five spice, and mushroom fill out the flavors. Silky and smooth, with very subtle tannins filling out the big, round finish. A great deal from one of Oregon's Pioneer winemakers and general great guy.
