Charles Smith Wines is the high visibility project of the flamboyant Charles Smith. He is best known for his K Vintners winery, one of Washington's most famous.

While Charles Smith wines might have begun as a side project, the 2006 Royal City Syrah received a 100 point rating from columnist Paul Gregutt, and the 08 received 99 points from Robert Parker's Wine Advocate.

The wines feature the idiosyncratic names and label art that Charles is known for. Don't let the humor fool you. The grapes for the wines come from his own vineyard in "the rocks" area of Walla Walla. He also draws from other top vineyards in the area. The wines are becoming as hard to get as the coveted K Vintners Syrahs.

Charles also makes a line of budget wines under the Magnificent Wine Company label. They include the "House" wines and are listed at the bottom of this page. He also collaborates with winemaker Charles Bieler to produce the Charles and Charles wines which are included in the list below.
