Primarily Merlot, this is one of those full-bodied, under $30 red wines that goes with many dishes or drinks well by itself. Rollat's Sophie is immediately accessible and velvety smooth. Fresh and fruity in nose and on the palate, it has the fleshiness and big flavors of a ripe vintage, while showing the balance and finesse that comes from skilled winemaking.

Chateau Rollat's Sophie is the "entry level" wine of owner Bowin Lindgren and famed French winemaker Christine LeSomer. They combine ripeness with moderate alcohol levels, just a hint of oak and a vibrant finish to create a wine we highly recommend.
