Review:
Bright red wine with earthy overtones and notes of plum, cranberry, blueberry and cherry. Flavors include bright fruits, tart cranberry, shitake mushroom and licorice. Nice structure and finely grained tannins.
A blend of fruit from younger vines with fruit from the older Renelle's block vines. This combination yields structure and balance. Earthy aromas with notes of toasty oak, pomegranate, dark cherries and cedar cigar box.
2008 Vintage Tasting Notes
Intense red color lures you in with signature Coeur de Terre earthy aromatics followed by
notes of dark cherry, cola, pomegranate, and roses. Palette embraces one with a brilliant vibrancy and bright
fruit that mirrors the dark tones found on the nose. The wine shows nice structure with finely grained
tannins, round mouth feel and deep roasted coffee overtones on a very nice finish. - the winery
2007 Vintage Tasting Notes
This wine is a blend of the winery's de-classified estate fruit. A new lower price point for the winery, this represents excellent craftsmanship at a very fair price. A nice merger of Burgundian and Oregon styles, with smoke and mineral elements complementing fresh red fruit flavors.
