Cownhorn Vineyard and Winery is located in Southern Oregon. Its 20 acre vineyard is Demeter certified biodynamic, the highest level of certification. The name "cowhorn" refers to the use of cowhorns in biodynamic farming. Cowhorns are filled with certain organic products and buried in the vineyard. Their presence is believed to result in a healthier organic vineyard.
Cowhorn makes wines from the Rhone varietals Marsanne, Rousanne, Viognier, and Syrah, all grown at the vineyard.
