Review: This is Crowley's first release of Chardonnay sourced strictly from the Four Winds Vineyard. The vines are 20 year old Wente clones that yield austere, fresh, acid driven wines. The color is reminiscent of pale straw with a hint of green. Aromas include honey, lemon, lime and minerals. This wine has a hint of spice matched with stone and grass with a touch of roasted nut and cream. The acidity is persistent and balanced to yield an elegant Chardonnay with a lengthy finish.
