I love this wine. It's an unconventional blend of Washington Cab Franc (60%) and Oregon Pinot (25%) and Gamay (15%), and it rocks. Filled with delicious red and black raspberry fruit, it's both rich and snappy, accented by grilled herb and mineral notes. Drink now! Beton is French for "concrete" (what it's aged in) - this wine is Division's nod to their time spent in the Loire Valley. - Marcus

The 2012 Division Beton, meaning "concrete" in French, was modeled after the wines that winemaker Thomas Monroe worked with while in Touraine, a beautiful hilly region about two hours southwest of Paris. The blend amounts to 60% Cabernet Franc, 25% Pinot Noir and 15% Gamay Noir. The nose has pungent raspberry, cherry Coca-Cola and a bit of earthy spice – classic Touraine Rouge! The palate continues the raspberry line, albeit quite juicy, leading to more red fruit, a bit of grilled flavor and some mineral tones likely from the lime in the cement tank. The garnet colored wine is nicely structured with firm acidity and a fine tannin profile. We loved this wine from the get go – drink now and enjoy with just about any picnic or summer BBQ!
