Dominio IV "The Black and the Red" Pinot noir 08
Note - the vintage was listed incorrectly as 2009 rather than 2008.
Patrick continues to make some of the best values in Oregon Pinot noir. The Black and the Red is among the highest rated wines in Wine Advocate's 10-31-2011 annual review of Oregon wines.
The 2008 Pinot Noir The Black and the Red sports a captivating nose of sandalwood, exotic spices, violets, black cherry, and blueberry. This is followed by a dense, ripe, loaded, suave offering with layered fruit, exceptional concentration for the vintage and 2-3 years of aging potential. This superb Pinot has a drinking window extending from 2013 to 2021. - Jay Miller
A blend of two fruit sources, one with black fruit, - blackberry, black currant and black plum flavors, and one with red fruit - raspberries, red cherries, red plum. An engaging wine at a value price.
