Ellanelle Wine Company

Leslie and Leonard Brown (L & L, get it?) are the founders of Ellanelle Wine Company. Both were born and raised in Milton-Freewater, Oregon where they currently reside having left briefly to attend Oregon State University. Leonard is a third generation farmer and orchard manager so when the family business decided to branch out and grow wine grapes (they already grew apples, plums and prunes), Leslie and Len decided they should get serious about wine. They toured Napa Wine country in Northern California, took classes and asked lots of questions of noted winemakers. Then they took the plunge. In 2011, they released their first vintage, a sublime handcrafted New World Cabernet.
