Writing the Letter
A long-time fellow Evesham Wood fan commented to me the other day that he was still "writing the letter" to relate how enjoyable Evesham Wood wines are to him. That summed it up perfectly - a devotion that's hard to define but easy to explain with a glass of Evesham Wood Pinot noir.

Evesham Wood Pinot noir Willamette Valley 08 - Swirling the Evesham Wood Willamette Valley Pinot noir 08 in the glass and taking a first big breath - cedar, red raspberry, nutmeg, and a hint of lavender arise. Subsequent inhales add rose petal, incense, and herbs to the mix.
A first sip boasts juicy red raspberry and red cherry flavors. Savoring the experience, sweet nutmeg, cinnamon, white pepper, licorice, and cranberry emerge. At the edge of perception, wisps of lavender fields, tiny wild roses, moss, and earth add threads of flavor to the wine fabric's weft. White pepper and cedar persist in the finish. - Jean
Evesham Wood Le Puit Sec Vineyard Pinot noir 07
Silky and creamy, vibrant and fresh. It opens with scents of rose and raspberry, with a little cherry burst and a darker berry element beneath. There's a touch of forest before the finish, which holds a blackberry cobbler note mingling with ultra-subtle dried herbs. The 07 Le Puit Sec is deliciously drinkable right now - expect it to age nicely too. Highly recommended. - Marcus
