Evesham Wood Chardonnay Willamette Valley 2010
Bright citrus and pear meet and do a happy dance. Done in stainless steel, this Chardonnay is all about freshness. Technically a single-vineyard Chardonnay, the Willamette Valley is entirely from Eola Springs Vineyard.
Previous vintage tasting notes from the winery: "Almost half of the fruit for our stainless fermented chardonnay was sourced from Eola Springs Vineyard for the first time, with the remainder supplied again by Mahonia Vineyard. Stylistically though, this wine closely resembles past vintages in terms of its crisp, floral and citrus character, made complete by a subtle hint of minerals. 425 cases produced." - Russ Raney
Our 2010 Willamette Valley Chardonnay was fermented in stainless steel tanks and this year's fruit was sourced from Eola Springs Vineyard as it has been for the past 2 years and Johan Vineyard which is a biodynamically farmed (and certified) vineyard in the Coast range. This year the wine went through partial malo-lactic fermentation adding a bit of creaminess to it, however with the fantastic acid levels we achieved in 2010 the wine is still crisp and zesty with bright green apple and pear. - the winery
