Evesham Wood Tempranillo 09

Quite likely the last vintage of Tempranillo from Evesham Wood, this goes out with a bang. One of the very few Willamette Valley Tempranillos, the 09 shows off red berries and mint with a spine of dusty tannins. Nothing too serious - just a fun, rustic red. A mere 150 cases made.

I didn't even realize that Evesham Wood made a Tempranillo (as opposed to their delicious Tempranillo Rose, my go-to summer quaffer.) And this is the last vintage for Evesham - they stopped buying the grapes with the 2009 vintage.
