Eyrie makes very small amounts of this crisp, dry white wine. Eyrie’s version of Muscat Ottonel is crisp and dry with delicate floral and spice aromas. Appellation Dundee Hills, Oregon. Serve as an aperitif with fruit and cheese or with Spicy Asian food.

Muscat Ottonel is the most-planted muscat variety in Austria and Alsace. It’s the palest in color of all the muscat varieties, it ripens the earliest, and has the least intense aroma. Nearly every Mediterranean country has a famous wine based on muscat and varying from light and bone dry, to low-alcohol sparkling versions, to very sweet and alcoholic potions. Muscat Ottonel is a shy-bearer, so sensitive to weather conditions that some years we don’t get any grapes at all.
