2006 Vintage Tasting Notes

Fall Line Cabernet 06 is the best new mid-priced Cabernet from Washington. Pure cassis aromas and flavors, mixing with black berries, plums, black cherries, and baking spices. A lingering sweetness on the finish is accented by subtle sage leaf and integrated tannins. The Fall Line 06 is versatile as a sipper or with any hearty meal--it has perfect balance and refinement, but plenty of gushing, yummy fruit. An Avalon Big Reds Club selection and highly recommended.

Layered and ripe, bordering on opulent, it nicely conceals enough tannin to carry the wine through another 4-5 years of evolution.
