Fall Line Red Mountain Red Wine

2005 Wine Advocate - 89 points - The 2005 Red Mountain Red Wine was sourced entirely from the Artz Vineyard and is a blend of 42% Cabernet Franc, 29% Merlot, and 29% Cabernet Sauvignon. Purple-colored, it exhibits an expressive nose of cedar, tobacco, pencil lead, clove, cinnamon, and black fruits. The wine has a supple palate feel and an elegant personality bordering on leanness. The spicy flavors are attractive but in need of a bit more depth. It should evolve for 2-3 years and drink well through 2017.
