Fausse Piste C'est la Viognier 2010
Made from Outlook Vineyard (Owen Roe) fruit, this Viognier is fermented half in barrel and half in stainless steel tank. Beyond the usual crisp pear flavors, this Viognier has many layers - white flowers, tropical fruits, creamy white peach, lemon blossom, and fennel flavors.

2008 Vintage Tasting Notes
Our 2008 Viognier comes from Outlook Vineyard located at the western end of the Yakima Valley in Washington State. Rocky soils, warm days with cold nights and ideal growing conditions gave the fruit ripeness and flavor but also balance and complexity.
Handpicked, hand sorted, gently pressed then fermented in stainless steel and neutral French oak using yeasts isolated from the Rhone valley. In order to preserve the delicate aromatics the wine did not go through malolactic fermentation. - the winery
the Viognier found at Outlook Vineyard may be some of the best in the state! cooler over all than much of the rest of the Columbia Valley, this site offers a great blend of soil types, aspect, and climate to offer an glimpse of what Rhone fruit can achieve in the new world. The vineyard is managed by Roger Bates This unique site in the Yakima Valley produces wines with a great sense of place. - the winery
Owner and winemaker Jesse Skiles has been on quite the chase this year- he "searched out six new vineyards each featuring a different expression of the famed grapes of the Northern Rhone, Syrah, Viognier and Roussanne- and one very special block of Grenache- from a vineyard that could be right out of the home of the new pope....."
