MORE INFORMATION
The 2006 Tribute Red is Fielding Hills' Bordeaux style blend. It was formerly known as "Riverbend Red". Black cherry and toasted coffee bean predominate in the nose with succulent hints of bittersweet chocolate, black cherry, black cherry and plum.
Flavors are simply delicious - sweet lush red and black fruit with just a hint of fresh tobacco, toasted coffee bean, and a hearty dollop of spicy white pepper. Finish is very long, with black cherry, white pepper and spice restating themselves. Tannins are smooth and beautifully integrated, with acidity adding just the right amount of freshness and juiciness. 2005 Vintage Tasting Notes
The 2005 vintage received 90 points from Wine Spectator.
2005 from the winery: "Loads of cherry, boysenberry and black plum are backed by suave sweet tobacco notes. The texture is slightly chewy with a tannic grip. It all plays through nicely on the long, lingering finish. 46% Cabernet Sauvignon, 42% Merlot, 11% Syrah, & 1% Cabernet Franc 2004 Vintage Tasting Notes
2004 vintage 90 Points Wine Spectator; 93 points Wine Enthusiast
93 points, Wine Enthusiast -- Seattle Times: "How to pick one, when all of the new Fielding Hills releases are so beautifully crafted? Try this red blend; it has great color, plush aromas and mouthfeel and sets up in the mouth with intense, varied flavors including blackberry, black cherry, black licorice. The young berry fruit scents are sensational, wrapped tight and the oak is gently applied and lends a pleasing milk-chocolate smoothness to the finish. Acrobatic balance and gorgeous fruit." - P.G.
