Black current and spicy clove overtones combine in the glycerin like mid palate. Well integrated soft tannins and a hint of citrus highlight the finish. 92% Merlot, 8% Cabernet Sauvignon from Pepper Bridge, Pheasant Run, and Seven Hills Vineyards. Previous vintage notes: Wine Spectator 90 Points -- A blackberry nose with cedar and vanilla notes fills the senses. Bright black cherry flavors with nuance of chocolate and white pepper come through in a polished framework. Fine grained tannins with sweet spices provide a lingering finish. |
