Marie Eve makes lovely, carefully crafted red wines, and this wine, her "value" bottling, is just a super deal. The nose has mocha and espresso bean hits along with plush plum and bing cherry. The wine is viscous and rich in the mouth, with lots of Cabernet complexity and lively, juicy black fruit. Big, well integrated tannins finish the wine with a hint of spice.
