The hint of sweetness carries the wine into a long finish that lingers on and on. I've been waiting for this wine to be released since the last vintage sold out in a week. I'm taking it home for special meals this summer. It is just so delicious to sip, sitting in the garden on a hot afternoon, listening to the bees buzz and the wind move through the trees.

From the winery: "A tremendously sweet hedonistic nose of lychee, rose, acacia blossoms, perfume, lavender and spice rise up as soon as the wine is poured into the glass. Rich and luxuriant, the aromas lift the wine from the usual perceptions of gew?rztraminer into an exotic and enthralling providence. The palate mimics the nose and fills the mouth with a sensual blend of viscosity, purity, weightlessness and power without size. The hint of sweetness carries the wine into a long finish that lingers well beyond expectations. This is truly an exceptional wine."

Vineyard - The Dragonfly vineyard is located above the Columbia Gorge in White Salmon, Washington at an elevation of 1600 feet. The vines, planted in 1962, represent the oldest Gew?rztraminer vineyard in the Pacific Northwest. Owned and immaculately tended organically by Don and Kristy Ginsler, the Dragonfly Vineyard is one of the most beautiful of all the vineyards with which Francis Tannahill works. Due to the age of the vineyard, elevation and long hang time the yields never reach more than 1.25 tons per acre. Dragonfly Vineyard is always among the last harvested with concentrated ripe fruit.
