2008 Wine Advocate - 92 points - ...the 2008 The Big Sissy Chardonnay sourced entirely from the Conner Lee Vineyard, one of the state’s best sites for this varietal. It was fermented with native yeasts, went through full malolactic, and was aged in 100% new French oak. Light gold in color, it gives up an enticing perfume of buttered popcorn, minerals, spiced apple, a hint of tropical fruits, and hazelnuts. Satin-texture on the palate with well-integrated oak and lively acidity, this savory, spicy offering is likely to evolve for 1-2 years and provide pleasure over the next 4-5. - Jay Miller
