Grochau Cellars Tinto is a blend of 60% Syrah and 40% Tempranillo. It quickly disappears into the cellars of Portland's best restaurants, who recognize its quality. Medium bodied and easy drinking, it has rich flavors that pair with lost of foods. A perfect marraige of the smoky black fruit of Syrah and the rich, brightly flavored red fruit of Tempranillo.
Winemaker John Grochau recommends heavier meat dishes with this wine, including lamb on the grill and Sunday brunch frittata-style eggs with chilies and sour cream.
