Review:
2008 Wine Advocate - 90 points - The 2008 Syrah Stillwater Creek Vineyard, aromas of smoke, meat, spice box, and blueberry inform the nose of a succulent, forward, nicely proportioned Syrah that will provide enjoyment for another 5-7 years. - Jay Miller
This deep purple stunner is 100% Syrah from the magnificent Stillwater Creek Vineyard. Our 2007 vintage is lush, velvety and simply divine on the palate. We barrel aged our Syrah for 18 months in 75% percent new French oak to create a wine that is a bursting mouthful of ripe blackberry, wild berry and spice with hints of cedar, smoke and vanilla on the nose. - the winery
2006 Vintage Tasting Notes
Our 2006 Syrah is from Wahluke Slope Vineyard. As with years past, it was co-fermented with 2% viognier. It spent 15 months in 60 new French oak barrels before bottling. The nose has hints of spice and meaty aromas mingling with the blackberry. The palette is full of blueberry and bramble fruits with a touch of spice on the finish. The tannins are firm and will allow some aging with this wine. - the winery
