Guardian Cellars The Wanted 08
Robert Parker's Wine Advocate 91 points
The 2008 The Wanted is a blend of 71% Cabernet Sauvignon and 29% Cabernet Franc sourced from the Stillwater Creek Vineyard. Wood smoke, pencil lead, Asian spices, incense, and black currant aromas compose the bouquet of this dense, layered, rich effort. It conceals enough structure to evolve for another 2-3 years and offers a drinking window extending from 2013 to 2023. - Jay Miller
They should have called it "Your Wanted" - that's what you'll call it after the first taste. Guardian has a way of making age-worthy reds that don't sacrifice an ounce of drinkability. Black currants and berries have a Cab Franc wildness to them. 71% Cabernet Sauvignon, 29% Cabernet Franc, barrel ages 20 months. Sold out at the winery.

2007 Vintage Tasting Notes
Oh the excitement of a new wine! The Wanted is shaping up to become a wildly loved member of the Guardian Cellars library. We're not messing around with this massive blend of 50% Cabernet and 50% Cabernet Franc, aged on 100% new French oak.
The fruit, red plum, black currant, dark berries, is big on the palate and the notes of licorice, cocoa and espresso can't be missed. The Wanted is comprised of fruit from Stillwater Creek Vineyard and barrel aged 22 months before bottling. - the winery
