![]() Haden Fig WinesWhen Haden Fig debuted in 2008, we were totally stoked about this new Oregon winery. Oregon fruit, spectacular value, immediately drinkable, hip labels - what more can you ask for? There's even a bonus: the Haden Fig wines are made by Erin Nuccio at Evesham Wood, one of Oregon's great artisan wineries. Haden Fig is an additional label of Erin and Jordan Nuccio. The wine label is named for the Nuccio's son, Haden. "I loved, loved, loved the label...it is very modern, young, and fun, something that would easily fly in a hipster bar in Portland. Don't be fooled by the cute critter on the label; this is not just another clever marketing ploy. Inside the bottle is a serious and refined wine that mature palates will adore, all at a very attractive price." - Adrienne at right, Avalon's Marcus and Andy pose with Erin Nuccio |

More About Haden Fig
The owl on the label is the result of Jordan Nuccio's interests. During her work at the Portland Audubon Society as a volunteer veterinarian, Jordan was enamored with the Northern Saw-Whet owl. This owl is a natural predator for vineyard pests and an essential part of a healthy symbiotic vineyard and ecosystem. Because of this, she chose the Saw-Whet owl for their label as a symbol of their commitment to sustainable agriculture. |
