Review:
Best Pinot noir Over $25 in the Pacific Northwest- SIP Magazine, 5-2013.
The 2011 has notes of dark cherries, rich earth, rhubarb preserves and graphite. Fruit flavors are layered with cigar and saddle leather. The finish is quite lengthy. 74 cases made.
The Vintner's Select represents the best of the winemakers cellar. Anne blind tastes all the barrels and selects her favorite one from each of her three Pinot noir sites. The resulting blend is a wine that is her most rich and expressive with intense aroma and a framework of silky tannins.
2010 Vintage Tasting Notes
The Vintner’s Select is just that. The best barrel was selected from each vineyard site, and then blended to create a very special wine. Flavors and aromatics are much richer and more mysterious than the Willamette Valley. It demonstrates great depth and elegance with a touch more toast and a greater potential for aging. The wine was aged for ten and a half months in French oak barrels and has 36% new oak influence.
The grapes were from Apolloni Vineyard (42%), Veeman Vineyard (42%) and Lia's Vineyard (16%)
Just 49 cases produced.
