Hestia Cellars

Hestia Cellars is a small, family-owned enterprise located in Washington's beautiful Snoqualmie Valley. Shannon Jones, owner and winemaker, came to winemaking through his experience playing amateur rugby. On a trip to New Zealand to play, he developed a strong interest in wine. On a subsequent trip to Europe that interest continued to grow. One thing led to another and after taking classes and volunteering at DeLille and Januik, he took the plunge and started Hestia Cellars.

Hestia is the Greek goddess of the hearth and Shannon chose to name his winery after her in honor of his Greek heritage. While he has no vineyards of his own, he has been able to secure grapes from several of the prime vineyards in the Columbia Valley including Stone Tree (Wahluke Slope), Andrews Ranch (Horse Heaven Hills) and Boushey Vineyard in the Yakima Valley as well as Ambassador Vineyard in the Red Mountain AVA. Shannon feels an intimate connection with each wine he produces. All of his reds are moved via gravity flow allowing for gentleness in the transfer and he bottles unfined and unfiltered.
