Celilo Chardonnay 07

This wine is made by James and Poppie Mantone of Syncline Winery. They made this wine with 96% Celilo Vineyard Chardonnay and 4% Clifton Vineyard Viognier. Celilo, one of the oldest vineyards in the state, sits high above the Columbia River Gorge and produces distinctive wines of great acidity, minerality, and aromatic complexity. The Chardonnay comes from choice blocks of old vines on the western end of the vineyard.

We've never seen a white wine made from Celilo Vineyard fruit at this good a price. This is a great deal. And if you love Syncline's Subduction White, you'll love this white as well!

This wine is part of the NW Vine Project, a group of inexpensive wines made for an Oregon wine distributor. Made by David O'Reilly (Owen Roe, O'Reilly's) and Andrew Rich (Andrew Rich Wines), these are super values and not readily available outside Oregon.
